    Bad publicity stunt

    Ringo star was on television last week visiting poor kids in the developing country of Uganda. The kids didn’t seem to have a clue who he was but had been told he was somebody famous so they flocked round him as he handed out Beatles t-shirts. This seemed a bit of a random thing to do considering these kids didn’t even have any shoes and it also didn’t appear that Ringo was opening a new village well or anything like that, so what good would just a Beatles T Shirt really be to them? This could be the wrong market to aim at in order to boost CD sales as I’m not too confident that there would be many CD players in this village, in fact I couldn’t be sure if there was electricity! Not the best publicity stunt of all time.
