Canada Traditional Funeral- Visitation, Funeral And Burial

    March 30th, 2010 by admin

Usually, funeral traditions in Canada are split into three sections – visitation, funeral and burial.Held, a couple of days before the actual funeral, the visitation ceremony is a time when both close family and friends can observe the dead body and privately pay their respects. The memorial or brampton cremation service is then held in honour of the desceased. To commemorate the deceased life, hymns and songs can be sung and close family members can make a speech or read poems. Ultimately, the burial is held and words are read next to the graveside. In a number of cases a gathering at the departed’s property is arranged to say peoples final goodbyes.
