Country Hideaway

This log cabin guest bedroom hadn't received a facelift in several years. The previous furnishings had been dark and heavy, blocking out light and over- crowding the room. But adding light colored furnishings such as this bed, we were able to lighten up the space and add a cheery feel.

All the fabrics and accessories were chosen for their warmth and their character. An old suitcase on a luggage stand becomes a night stand. The curtains let in the sunlight, adding color and brightness to the room.

In the adjoining bath, the same color scheme was used. Soft greens, red's and browns all compliment the wood tones of the log cabin, while still bringing in an updated look.
