Taking a Year Off

I decided to take a year off between finishing my Masters and working on my PH D. I wanted to visit parts of the world that I had never seen before. My trip was going to include Australia and New Guinea, Singapore, Japan and Korea. I looked up car rental comparisons for each country that I was going to visit, and also compared hotel rates to make sure that I would get the best deal. Everything is set now and I leave tomorrow. I cannot wait to get started. I will be gone for six months, and then go back home and spend the other six months working and before I start back to school. I know that I am lucky to be able to take this time, but I figured if I did not do it now I might not ever have a chance.
